Unigen, Lacey, WA, has created a new Organic Synthesis Department at its headquarters. In response to concerns about long-term environmental impact, the new department will create synthetic versions of certain natural compounds. Consequently, Unigen will be able to offer to its customers the positive effects of raw ingredients whose source material is in limited supply. These synthesized ingredients will be niche-focused, limited to use in pharmaceutical, cosmeceutical and topical personal care products.
